DSB or Differential Support Bracket is a basic support brace designed specifically for the E36 M3 that can be used on the E36 325i and E36 328i as well.

The "Achilles Heel" to the E36 drivetrain line is the single, main mounting bolt holding the differential in place.

The existing BMW factory differential has a mounting design that makes for the main diff bolt to break very easily under any extreme driving condition. Some bent or broken bolts can be extracted, if not, then removal of the differential to extract the broken bolt becomes necessary.


Applications for using a Active Auotwerke DSB:
Any E36 M3 with Forced Inductions - Turbocharged or Supercharged
RACE or TRACK applications
DRAG or 1/4 Mile driving
Hard spirited driving

Any form of spirited driving where more power is exerted to the rear axles and drivetrain making the rear independent suspension squats. This type of load can exert such a stress on the main differential supporting bolt that it often bends, or breaks. The DSB supports the differential unilaterally and relieves the load placed on this one bolt.
